Mike is the founder and CEO of Three Rivers Operating Company, LLC, an E&P company that has launched three Permian-focused ventures with the backing of Riverstone Holdings, NYC.  Three Rivers is headquartered in Austin, Texas and since its inception in 2009 has made over 18 acquisitions, aggregated 380,000+ net acres, and drilled more than 300 wells.  Over the course of three divestitures the company has generated sales proceeds of more than $3 billion, with total profits over $1.4 billion.    

 Prior to starting Three Rivers, Mike served as CFO of Texas American Resources, which operated wells throughout Texas, Colorado, and Wyoming. He previously served as CFO of Mariner Energy, where he spent seven years gaining experience in both offshore Gulf of Mexico and onshore West Texas projects. Prior to that, he spent nine years at PricewaterhouseCoopers in its energy auditing practices.

Mike currently serves as chairman of the board of Expand Energy, following his time as Interim CEO. Previously he served on the boards of Sabine Oil & Gas, Extraction Oil & Gas, Bruin E&P, and Grizzly Energy.
